Skills training for women and girls requires a holistic approach which covers life skills as well as a vocational skill relevant to the local labour market. This approach ensures that girls and women have knowledge on their rights, have the confidence, and have the skills for economic empowerment.
The Centre for Mass Education in Science in Bangladesh takes this approach seriously and provides various training sessions for women and girls for empowerment – from awareness raising sessions on topics such as child, early and forced marriage to skills training demanded by local employers such as garment stitching and computer skills.
